SBNG 2008 - EDMONTON
S.B.N.G (Shoot a Ball Not a Gun) has done it again! bringing you a
brilliant showcase featuring some of the UK's best basketball players and most requested up coming artists the urban scene have to offer.
This year doubled our previous years in bringing more high flying, feather foot talent! and great performances from artists such as Lady Ny, Kayne Rose, Hold it Down and a special guest performance from N-Dubz.
Along with the support of various sponsers like Nestle Nutrament, adidas, Enfield Council, Choice fm Peace on the street and New Era! The event also attracted interest from people in the Movie, TV and Radio scene who took part in the celebrity all-star basketball game, people such as Aml Ameen (Kidulthood), Choice fm's DJ Rollo and Jimmy Akingbola (Holby Blue).
An yes! its not like S.B.N.G to hold event without giveaways, and as
always we try not to dissappoint, with goodie bags filled with items such as New Era goodies, 2k sports video games and Nestle Nutrament drinks.
The day was very interactive, allowing the crowd to get involved in some mini competitions to win even more goodies.
The day was very positive aswell as fun with anti-gun and knife crime
talk's from Super Intendent David Osbourne, who gave the crowd a very informative description of his experience as a officer working on over 250+ murder cases, showing them the results in carrying weapons.
The event was fun filled even to the end with closing with the Dunk
Contest!!! And then the medal giveout , with unique specially made S.B.N.Gmedals given out by the Community Safety at Enfield Borough Council Cllr Matthew Laban.
